Starting November 15th, 2011, A Chic with Stix NJ field hockey store will have different store hours for the winter. Even though the regular season is coming to an end, the indoor season is right around the corner, along with the holidays. Therefore, we wanted to make our new hours more convenient and accessible, so you can make it to the store despite your busy schedules.

Our new hours will be: Tuesday-Friday 3:00PM-6:00PM and Saturday 10:00AM-4:00PM. Closed: Sunday-Monday.

Even though the regular field hockey season is coming to a close soon, indoor field hockey season is just around the corner. Therefore, A Chic with Stix has once again attended to your needs and has indoor field hockey sticks available for purchase. Brands include Dita, TK, Gryphon and Grays.

Indoor Field Hockey Sticks Available in New Jersey

Indoor field hockey sticks are similar in shape and feel as the regular outdoor sticks, however they are thinner. In most indoor field hockey leagues you can not have much of a back swing or no back swing at all, so indoor sticks do not need to be as powerful.

Indoor surfaces vary, but are not limited to turf and/or indoor courts such as roller hockey rinks. Therefore, all of the brands have adjusted their outdoor sticks to the indoor surfaces and the international indoor field hockey rules.

Do your goggles fog up when you play? Unfortunately, one of the problems with lens goggles is that they tend to fog up based on the weather conditions and sweat. However, we at A Chic with Stix have found the solution for you…Cat Crap!

Despite the name, it really does work! We have tested it.

Cat Crap Anti-Fog Lens Goggles Cleaner

Cat Crap is an anti-fog lens cleaner that can be used on your field hockey goggles. It cleans and polishes glass and plastic, repels lint and dust, and prevents lenses from fogging. Cat Crap comes in small containers, therefore it does not take up a lot of space in a field hockey bag and is great for travel. Cat Crap is also a fine product made in the United States by EK Ekcessories.

Cat Crap application is very simple:

1. Before using, remove any abrasive particles from the lens surface.
2. Apply a small amount to the lens with just a touch of your finger and spread over entire lens surface.
3. Buff off with clean, soft cotton cloth or chamois until clear and streak free. Use as needed.

Our new hours will be:

Monday and Wednesday 6:30PM-8:30PM and Saturday 10:00AM-4:00PM or by appointment. An appointment can be made for any day of the week after 5:30 by phone at 732-403-0285.
